Meridian Psychotherapy offers two programs for the treatment of opiate addiction.

Both programs include the use of Suboxone® if indicated.

DETOX

A 4-6 week outpatient medical detox program. Patients are prescribed tapering doses of Suboxone® until they are off opiates entirely. Patients enrolled in this program meet with our addiction medicine physician weekly. Maintenance program participants attend weekly group therapy sessions at our office. Urine drug screens and documented attendance at Narcotics Anonymous meetings are also required.

MAINTENANCE

Maintenance allows patients to get their life in order before attempting detox. Maintenance is initiated by a series of office visits to establish an appropriate dose of Suboxone® . Following the establishment of a stable early recovery, Suboxone® is prescribed on a monthly basis for a period of time recommended by your physician. Patients involved in our maintenance program attend weekly group therapy sessions at our office. Urine drug screens and documented attendance at Narcotics Anonymous meetings are also required.

Our program is a drug-free program. This includes alcohol, street drugs, as well as mood-altering prescription drugs.

Concurrent use of benzodiazepines is a contraindication for the use of Suboxone® , and alternate detox medications will be prescribed.

At the initial assessment, our doctors will determine your treatment plan, using Suboxone® or other appropriate detox medications.

We do not release information about your treatment here without your written consent or a Court Order.

Please do not bring children to your appointments here

Patients are given a written prescription for all medications at their appointments; we do not dispense any medications at our office.

Please consider all aspects of our program requirements.

If you do not comply with the requirements of either program, you will be discharged from care.

The success of these programs depend on your individual motivation to work a 12-Step based recovery program.
